New Year’s Note from our Lead Pastor

Dear Family,

Happy New Year! Even though our New Year’s Eve Countdown had to be cancelled last night for everyone’s safety, my prayer is that you were still able to welcome the New Year surrounded by love, laughter, and the people who matter most.

As we step into this fresh year together, my heart is filled with hope and expectation. I truly believe that God has already gone ahead of us, preparing good works, blessings, and favour for us to walk in—both as a church family and in each of your personal lives. I am especially excited about what 2026 holds for us as we continue to grow, serve, and pursue Jesus together.

I wanted to share some of the things happening this year that we can look forward to:

  1. Our Youth Ministry will now be meeting three Saturdays each month, with an additional Saturday added to their schedule. This creates more space to disciple and reach our young people, as well as your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their friends who may not yet be connected to our youth community.

  2. Our Basketball Outreach will take place every Friday evening at a larger venue—the Water Street Church gymnasium—starting Friday, January 16, 2026. Each evening will include a dedicated time to share the Word during “halftime,” allowing us to intentionally minister to those who attend.

  3. Thursday Thrive -- our new initiative will be happening every Thursday evening at the KPC gymnasium. This will be a joyful time of fun, fellowship, and connection for all ages, with activities such as Zumba, pickleball, badminton, and other sports rotating throughout the year. More details to come soon.

  4. Our Hour of Power prayer gathering every Wednesday will now be held in the KPC Prayer Room. We are deeply thankful to the homes and families who so graciously opened their doors to host prayer in past seasons.

  5. We are planning several seminars with gifted and knowledgeable resource speakers. These seminars—covering parenting, mental health, marriage, and flowing in the prophetic—are intended to strengthen and equip our church family and also serve our wider community.

Finally, we are planning a missions trip in October to support and establish our new church plants in southern Manila and in the city of Cebu, Philippines. Those who have completed our Growth Pathways (SOM 1–3, LEAD School, or LEAD School Basic) are encouraged to prayerfully consider joining us as we serve on the mission field together.

Of course, there are many other things unfolding throughout the year that we will share as the time comes. My prayer is that as you read through these opportunities, your heart is stirred with excitement for what God is doing in and through our local church.

Allow me to warmly encourage you not only to participate, but also to invite friends and loved ones to journey with us. I also invite your prayers for the leadership, staff and volunteers who will be heading up the different events that we have.

Until we see one another this Sunday, may the Lord “crown your year with bounty, and may your carts overflow with abundance” (Psalm 65:11).

Sincerely,

Napoleon Lumasag
